Acrelec - Flawless service thanks to stable and scalable infrastructure and MAP

Acrelec is well known for their smart ordering kiosks that can be found in most of the major fast food restaurant chains, for example MC Donald’s or Dunkin' Donuts. As customers after ordering also pay through the paying application in the kiosk, Acrelec’s primary focus is on security, high performance with no outages and gathering data to generate reports for which company uses several applications.

Acrelec loves the freedom of the cloud that is why they migrated into the AWS even before we had our first meetings. Unfortunately, due to inconsistency in architecture they were not able to enjoy all the benefits of the cloud, flawless report generation of their BI application and monitoring. This was the perfect set up for our AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP).

Our team of seven cloud specialists performed detailed assessment and review of their architecture and applications, created a design of the new architecture and paths on which the apps will communicate with each other. Together with the Acrelec tech team we standardized BI applications, built Control Tower for their multiaccount environment, migrated one app into the AWS, and helped setup a redesigned another one (Kiosk builder – internal app that will help restaurants to setup their own pricelists) through POC.
We also shared our knowledge during the AWS Immersion Day that we provided for the Acrelec tech team.

Now we are getting ready to migrate their transaction system into the AWS.

We provided assessment of the current setup, built stable architecture, migrated apps to AWS, set up AWS Control Tower, introduced cost friendly solution and shared knowledge through our Immersion Day.
